SPAR Retail Stores Pty Ltd is recruiting and invites applications for the following job vacancy: Cashiers [x5 posts].

With distribution centres (DCs) located in 5 provinces,we ensure that products are delivered to stores just in time for the consumer to enjoy their shopping experience at their local SPAR store.

JOB PURPOSE
- To serve customers by signing up customer purchases accurately and courteously.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating Front End Equipment including POS terminals, Debit card terminal, speed points etc
- Scanning items purchased by customers
- Replenish consumables
- Cash up takings
- Ensure that daily takings balance on a daily basis
- Maintaining adequate change at all times
- Depositing cash into the small box during the day
- Treat all products handled at the front end with care
- Developing friendly but professionals relationships with customers
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
– Matric plus previous cashier experience as a part-time cashier or trainee
- Knowledge of arithmetic calculations
- Reading and comprehension skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Time management
