EPWP IS HIRING DATA CAPTURERS AND TEAM LEADERS

 



Introduction and background

The DFFE implements various initiatives under the Expanded Public Works Programme utilising various implementation approaches to contribute to environmental good through job creation. Recently, the department adopted in-house implementation model with an intention to address service delivery and contribute towards upliftment of unemployed citizens with special focus on youth.  The inhouse model was piloted to assess the capacity of the department to recruit and place participants directly where services are required.  As the EPWP Environmental and Cultural Sector national coordinator, the department works with various public bodies, within the sector, in the implementation of programmes and provide support to ensure that the projects are reported in the EPWP Reporting system. The department also provides support to public bodies to ensure compliance with applicable prescripts.

 



Purpose / aims /  objectives

The department is expanding the current inhouse model with the aim of affording graduate opportunities for exposure to workplace experience, employing EPWP approach. This would contribute to addressing unemployment rate while equipping participants with the much-needed exposure and experience to enable them to contribute economy of the country.

 



Allowance / stipend

This programme is aimed at affording youth an employment opportunity to gain work experience.

 



  • Allowance / stipend: R6,600.00 and Team Leaders: R7,700.00



  • PLEASE NOTE: No other benefits apply; successful candidates will be required to cover the cost for their own accommodation and transportation to and from work if necessary.



Rollout of the project / advertised posts

A total of 70 work opportunities have been created for unemployed graduates for a period of 12 months. The graduates are set to be deployed in DFFE, EP regional offices and other sector departments where data will be collated from all respective provinces.
