Minimum Requirements

Youth (35 years or younger)

Matric

CHW qualification preferable

Previous community mobilization (NGO/CBO sector) employment

Multilingual (speaks the languages spoken in the district)

Lives in the area serviced by the mobile unit

Prior experience working on public health campaigns, including SBCC and RCCE, and Covid-19 vaccine demand creation would be an advantage.

 



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with the Keready Communicator to ensure that there is a strong flow of reliable information about the

mobile outreach services to local communities and to community leaders (faith-based organisations, NGOs and CBOs,

traditional leadership, volunteer organisations etc.)

With support and guidance from the Keready Communicator:

Go street to street and door to door as agreed to with the Keready Communicator, informing community members of the services available on the mobile clinic

Book community members who want to receive a health care service and inform the Keready

Communicator

 



Provide local stakeholders with easy-to-understand weekly updates on the services being offered

Create awareness among the community of the call centre numbers and the Keready young doctor

network for clients to direct their related queries.

Assist in the mobilization of clients to mobile and other health sites especially 12-34 year-olds,

uninsured, males, young mothers and >50 years old.

Daily reporting to the Keready Communicator which includes numbers reached, activities undertaken,

successes, lessons learnt, identified gaps and recommendations to consider.

Additional: The incumbent needs to be willing to support beyond the responsibilities highlighted above.
