Want to feed the tiniest of taste buds to preparing pre-cooked meals for the parents? As a cook, you will prepare healthy and tasty lunches for our children and meals for the freezer following a menu and recipes developed by our in-house nutritionist.

Full Job Description
Our goal is to serve nutritious, wholesome meals and cooked onsite. We are looking for a full-time cook/food prep who loves to cook healthy, delicious meals that will appeal to the palate of the children in our care as well as precooked meals for adults.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday from 8h00 to 13h00. No nights or weekends required.
Salary
R30.00 – R35.00 an hour (R3500 per month)
Plus commission
Job responsibilities:
· Plans and prepares meals in accordance with menus and recipes
· Determines meal count and distributes food to each class
- Cleans after each meal is complete.
· Performs weekly food and supply inventory; submits list of needed items
· Checks-in supply deliveries to ensure accuracy of order placed.
· Keeps kitchen, including appliances, cabinets, dishes and all inventory, organized and clean.
An ideal candidate will have:
· Have a love for children & cooking
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in cooking for a school/pre-school or similar
· Strong customer service mindset and work ethic
· Have experience in preparing and packing precooked meals
· Non-smoker, punctual and of good health
· Excellent command of the English language
· Chef/Cook certificate or qualification
· Pays close attention to detail and can follow recipes according to portions and budget
· Can work unsupervised most times
